My poor baby girl has had a fever for the last few days. I snapped a shot of her while she was relaxing on the couch at work watching “Bolt”. She has been having throat issues off and on for the last 6 months! She’ll finally be getting her tonsils and adenoids removed next Friday!
They were helping me do some simple pictures for a blog post about composition on the Everyday Elements blog. They were laughing about “the floating hand of doom” (you’ll have to go read the other post in order to understand that). Anyway, I love it when they are actually being nice to each other. It’s times like this when I know that they really do love each other!
Happy almost 24th birthday to my niece! We had a little impromptu mini session yesterday cuz she just looked so cute!
These three are like family to me! I’ve known them for quite a few years, and I just love them to pieces!

Thanksgiving is my most favorite holiday of the year! Not just because of the awesome meal my family always prepares together, but because for me it is the time when I reflect on my year and I realize how much I have to be thankful for! (I know, how totally cliche, but it’s true!) But mostly it is my favorite because it is the last holiday that I got to celebrate with my mom! So that makes it that much more special to me!
This year I have so much to be thankful for! First and foremost that I am saved by grace by my Heavenly Father! Secondly, I have such an amazing family, that even when we have our little issues, we are still always there for each other!
A few other things I have to be thankful for: back in March I started guest-posting on the Everyday Elements blog (and I am now a regular contributor) and have been having so much fun with that! I also had the chance to attend and help out at the “PRIME focus on you” photography workshop in South Carolina in September! I had fun and got to meet some pretty awesome women! (I can’t wait for the next one!)
Our biggest blessing this year was that we were able to buy our first home! We are so thankful that everything worked out for us to get our loan approval. We moved into our new home on September 28th.
We had our 16th wedding anniversary on November 2nd! 16 years?? Where did that time go? It seems like forever, but at the same time it seems like just last week! I love my husband so much! He is a great dad, loving husband, hard worker, and an awesome drummer!
My children are doing very well in school! Both are reading and doing math at advanced levels! So proud!
I am still very much enjoying my photography (as a hobbyist) and the direction it is going!
