I had a fun and busy weekend! Saturday I met up with the Miller family at the beautiful Bath House in Oroville (aka The Nature Center), and on Sunday I met up with my niece and her friend who are both graduating from Chico State University in May! We did their sessions on the Chico State campus!

I was recently asked by a sweet gal if I would mentor her in photography. I was honored, excited, and nervous all at the same time! It turned out to be a great experience (at least I think so), and I had so much fun! I had scheduled a senior session so we could put into practice some of the techniques I was teaching.

So meet Sandra! She is gorgeous, and was nervous for all of 2 seconds! She knew exactly how to work the camera!

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed taking floral images! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my 60mm micro!! These were taken at the local historic Lott Home in Oroville. All three of these were taken with my D700 and 60mm f/2.8 D micro.

I have had the please of photographing these two little girls a few different times over the year, and they are so much fun! The Spring colors are out, and we spent a little time last night at the historic Lott Home in Oroville. This time of year all of the flowers are in bloom, and it is so colorful! I love it! (side note: I had my senior pictures taken in that same walkway back in 1996! Boy do I feel old!)

While It’s not my favorite season, I love the light and fresh colors of Spring! This is another one of the fruit tress in our backyard! Not sure yet what it is, but we’ll soon find out!!
